Local Legends is a campaign for CUPE 417, the union local for public-sector workers in Red Deer, Alberta. The idea: the people who clear the snow, keep the parks, care for seniors, keep the peace and run our schools do work so constant that it feels legendary, mostly unseen.
I animated the series, five short portraits, one for each group of jobs, made for vertical social video. I also designed the campaign’s section on the union’s website, where the animations live alongside the rest of its impact work.
